Availability
Indiana University, Bloomington's subscription to Skillport 8i (formerly called Books24x7) content includes access to both ITPro and Business Pro e-books and video content. Only materials to which we have access will display on the Skillport 8i site for our users. This resource is licensed for all IU campuses except South Bend and East.
Authentication is via IU Login using Shibboleth. Proxy prefixes do not need to be added when linking to Skillport 8i materials.
Simultaneous User Limits
Skillport8i e-books allow for unlimited simultaneous users.
Using the Online Viewer
To access content, select the desired title. Users will then be directed to a table of contents page where they can click on the desired chapter to read. All content is availalbe in HTML format only. If the user creates a personal account, they can add bookmarks and notes to the book.
To navigate within a chapter, click on the arrows to advance or go back.
To change between titles or return to search results, close the popup window.
Users may download individual chapters in Adobe PDF, Kindle ready mobi, and ePub formats. Users are limited to 15 chapter downloads within a 2 month time period, after which the download limit is refreshed.
