MLA International Bibliography

  • Contains references from 1926 to the present, with JSTOR entries for the PMLA from the 1880s.
  • Do not look for book reviews in the MLA International Bibliography; there are none.
  • There is no added value from EBSCO in the database: no embedded pdf or html full text for example. Look for IULink.
  • MLA contains only basic indexing terms; it does not contain substantial abstracts to search (like PsycINFO).
  • It is a primary resource for earlier folklore material. It also indexes materials in literary theory, criticism, the history of printing and publishing, linguistics, comparative linguistics, semantics, stylistics, and syntax.
  • Notably it includes material on film, radio and television, particularly film.
