To unzip the file:
Go to the zipped file and right click on it
Choose extract
You will have two files now.
Click on the install program and run it

When you run the installation, do a Custom install

When prompted, select "Additional connections," "Additional filters," and "Additional styles." These options will have a large red X in front of them until changed to "Will be installed on local hard drive"

Continue and allow the program to install

The custom installation adds the full suite of styles, connections and filters.  Without it you will have available only a the "top" ranked files of each. The program will load faster, but eventually you may need to have at hand the items that do not install with the basic installation.

EndNote Library and .DATA folder

When you create and EndNote library you also create a .DATA folder with the same name as the library.

Keep the two in the same place, and do not lose either.  They work together, and the .DATA folder will contain information the Library will use as well as any attachments added to references.
