Vault - Oversized

  • Description: Oversized rare and special materials that are stored in the rare book vault and require special permission for access.

  • Location: These items are stored in the rare book vault on the ground floor of the Music Library and must be retrieved by library staff for patrons who have special permission to use them.

  • How to access:
    1. Use IUCAT to find record that contains the author/composer, title, IUCAT location, and call number of the item you wish to use.
    2. Contact Carla Williams or Keith Cochran to discuss your request to use the materials.
     
  • Loan periods:
    • Keith Cochran, Collection Development Librarian, or Carla Williams, Head of Public Services, will set the guidelines for use of the materials, including permission to photocopy. Generally the materials may be used in the Reference Reading Area of the Cook Music Library for two hours on weekdays between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
