Studio Craft at Indiana University

Art Practice

Joan practiced weaving, paper making, and basket making. In addition to her work at IU, she was a faculty artist at the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Penland School of Crafts, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, and Banff Center for the Arts. Joan was also a guest artist at the Cranbrook Academy of Art's Fiber Department in 1975. Her work has been exhibited around the world.
