The CRAAP Test is a list of questions arranged under five criteria to determine the reliability of a source. Use the criteria to think critically about the information you encounter, regardless of the format. Please keep in mind this list is not static or complete. Different criteria will be more or less important depending upon your situation or need.
Currency: The timeliness of the information.
Relevance: The importance of the information for your needs.
Authority: The source of the information.
Accuracy: The reliability, truthfulness and correctness of the content.
Purpose: The reason the information exists.
