A263 Contemporary Social Issues in the African American Community - Digital Project Resources

This guide collects resources for creating digital projects that A263 will be doing as part of the ALA Civic Imagination Stations Grant to Dr. Maria Hamilton Abegunde, and IU Libraries.

A263 has created a page in Omeka on the Land, Wealth, Liberation site called Letters to Ourselves: A2632022 Water Epistles. You will need to create your individual or group project pages as subpages of the "Letters to Ourselves" page.

  1. Begin by logging in at

    https://collections.libraries.indiana.edu/iulibraries/admin

Sign in with your IU username@iu.edu and password. If you get a 404 after logging in simply open the link again in another tab and you will be signed in.

  2. Under 'Manage Sites', go to the Land, Wealth, Liberation site (this may be the only site that shows up for you)
  3. From the left side menu select "Pages" then select the "Add New Page" button in the top right corner
  4. If you are working individually
    1. Name the page with your first and last name. Make sure to click the "Add to Navigation" checkbox. Click 'Add'.
    2. Go to "Navigation" from the left-side menu. You will not be able to do the next step from the Pages interface.
    3. Make your page a sub-page of the "Letters to Ourselves" page by dragging your page on top of the "Letters to Ourselves" page.
    4. Click 'Save' in the top right-hand menu.
