A263 Contemporary Social Issues in the African American Community - Digital Project Resources

This guide collects resources for creating digital projects that A263 will be doing as part of the ALA Civic Imagination Stations Grant to Dr. Maria Hamilton Abegunde, and IU Libraries.

Digital Exhibit Platforms

 

  • Begin by logging in at https://collections.libraries.indiana.edu/iulibraries/adminSign in with your IU username@iu.edu and password. If you get a 404 after logging in simply open the link again in another tab and you will be signed in. 
  • Under 'Manage Sites', go to the Land, Wealth, Liberation site

  1. You first need to upload your items. Ensure you are adding these to the Land, Wealth, Liberation item set
  2. You can then choose to display the items on your page using either
    1. Item Carousel e.g.  Black Wall Streets: Centers of Business Life · Land, Wealth, Liberation: The Making & Unmaking of Black Wealth in the United States · IU Libraries Digital Exhibitions (indiana.edu);or
    2. Item Showcase e.g. Early Black Communities · Land, Wealth, Liberation: The Making & Unmaking of Black Wealth in the United States · IU Libraries Digital Exhibitions (indiana.edu)
