It's easier than ever to keep up with friends, family and colleagues while you're away from home. IU offers several technologies to help you stay in touch.
Create a Zoom account and meet up with people back home. You need to be affiliated with IU to create an account and set up meetings, but anyone can attend a meeting, and it's an easy way to meet with several people at once.
A Virtual Personal Network (VPN) encrypts your network activity, providing a level of protection, but also causes the Libraries' resources to interact with you as though you are on campus. This makes it easier to access databases, streaming video and you IU computing accounts.
Work collaboratively on documents, presentations and assignments using the suite of applications provided by Google, such as Google Drive and Google Jamboard.
IUanyWare lets you use a wide variety of software via an internet connection, with no need to have it installed on your own device. Since the software accessed via IUanyWare runs on an IU server, websites and services accessed with an IUanyWare browser interact with you as though you are still in the states.
