The Book I Need Is Checked Out
If the library book you want is checked out, first check IUCAT for other versions of the book. Sometimes the Libraries have more than one copy or version of an item. If a copy is available at another IU campus library, use the 
button in IUCAT to have the item delivered to a Bloomington campus location.
If you still do not find a copy available, you may either submit an Interlibrary Loan Request or Recall the item.
To submit an Interlibrary Loan Request for a book, choose "Request a Loan." You will receive an email when the item is ready for pickup.
Or you can Recall an item. The person will then have 14 days to return the item. You will receive an email when the item is ready for pickup.
