Take & Make Kits

Take & Make Kits

A paper bag, envelope, and small box labeled as "Take and Make Kits."

Welcome, new students! IU Libraries' Take & Make kits provide all of the supplies needed to complete a creative project at home or in the library. Kits are free for new IU Bloomington students and families. Here's how it works:

  1. Pick up a kit
    • Visit the Wells Library during open hours and pick up your kit from the Learning Commons (1st Floor, West Tower). Choose one of three project kits: embroidery, mini plant hanger, or 3D printed bike puzzle.
  2. Make something
    • Follow the instructions in the kit to complete the project, or do your own thing. It's yours to keep and make on your own terms.
  3. Visit the Makerspace
    • Looking for more opportunities to express your creativity? The Wells Library Makerspace is your space to explore, tinker, and create! Check out a camera, make a collage from recycled book covers, or design a laptop sticker. The Makerspace is open Monday-Friday, 12-2pm during the summer with expanded hours during the fall and spring semesters.
