To save searches and track research information you need to sign up for an individual Scopus account after accessing the database via https://libraries.indiana.edu/databases/scopus.

Saving searches

To save a search, simply click on the diskette icon at the top left of the result list.

Setting alerts to track research information

To create an alert for a group of search results

  1. Execute your search query or navigate to your saved searches.
  2. If you do this from your saved search list, click on the bell icon to the far right of the saved search you want to track
  3. If you do this by executing a search query after the search results are displayed click on the bell icon at the top left of the search results

A panel will pop up that will allow you to enter your email address and the desired frequency of alerts. Scopus will send you an email with a preview of the results at the intervals you select, as well as a link to the results which you can export in a variety of formats.
