Digitization Equipment
The Herman B Wells Library Scholars' Commons (1st Floor, East Tower) provides both large format high-speed flatbed and sheet-fed scanners for text documents and large-format flatbeds with transparency capability for photographs, slides, and negatives. It also includes ABBYY Fine Reader (a high-end OCR software).
The Scholars' Commons also supports digitization and analysis of audio and video with software options such as Audacity, iMovie, and Adobe Premiere, and has equipment capable of reading MiniDVs, VHS videocassettes, DVDs, and blueray disk.
