Data Rescue - Indiana

Resources for finding and archiving government data during the 2025 presidential administration transition.

Data Availability

We are aware that the rapidly changing government data landscape has created challenges for researchers who rely on publicly funded government data. This guide links to resources including data rescue efforts, archived data sources, and alternative locations for this vital data. Indiana University librarians are here to help with your specific data needs and stand at the ready to help our users. Please email us at libref@iu.edu with your specific questions, or use the chat box to the left.

Data Rescue Project

This guide was inspired by the Data Rescue Project, which describes itself as "coordinated effort among a group of data organizations, including IASSISTRDAP, and members of the Data Curation Network." Their website is frequently updated and contains many resources for finding federal data, as well as those who wish to be involved in archiving efforts.
