For a foolproof way to check if an article is peer-reviewed, search the name of the journal in this "database of databases", UlrichsWeb.
Once you search the journal's title, click one of the titles for a full record. There may be more than one entry for a source if it has both print and digital editions. If you see a little sports jersey on the record, or the phrase 'refereed: yes', then you can be sure the source you have found is scholarly.
If you need to check the uniform title of the journal in question first (for example, if it is abbreviated in the database you are searching in,) you can use our citation linker.
