This guide will focus on two major GIS and digital mapping programs: ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Storymaps. ArcGIS Online is a standalone mapping program that allows you to create interactive maps, but also perform spatial analysis and create and view data. Storymaps is a companion tool to ArcGIS Online with a focus on spatial storytelling. It is very user-friendly and requires zero prior GIS knowledge. You can think of storymaps as sort of a map-forward Wordpress. We have enterprise access to both through IU licenses.
This guide includes how to log in, tips for organizing your data, tips for finding data, and recommended tutorials.
