How to capture video from VHS tape
Before you get started, ask the Reference Desk for the remote for the DVD/VHS player.
Turn on the VCR power button.
Turn on the Sony GV-HD700/1 DV player.
Sign in to the computer.
Open the program
Windv.exe
from the desktop.
Set the Video source to
Sony GV-HD700/1 Tape Recorder/player
.
Press play on the VCR and the
Capture
button in WinDV.exe.
The video being captured will appear in the WinDV main window.
The captured video will be saved in the file entered in the
Capt.file
:textbox.
To pause the capture, click the
Capture
button on the WinDV controls again.
When you are finished capturing the VHS content, close program WinDV.exe.
