After determining what in your pattern can be under copyright and deciding whether you want to protect your copyright, you can go to CC License Chooser. The license chooser provides you with a blurb to put on your website/pattern/photograph/etc. that includes a link back to the description page for that license. Common practice is to put the license blurb and the mini infographic on the front page of your work or on the side as demonstrated in the examples.
