Please note: The Financial Times allows access to current IU faculty, staff, and students only. The Financial Times does NOT permit content and/or articles from the FT to be hosted on any website, including Canvas. 

Daily British newspaper covering global finance, economics, industry, energy, and international politics. Individual registration is required for access. Click more for complete instructions on creating an FT account with your @iu.edu email. Students will be prompted to provide their anticipated graduation date in order to complete the registration process.

Account creation:

Current IU faculty, staff, or students may follow these instructions for creating an FT account:

  1. Go to https://www.ft.com/
  2. Click "Sign In" at the top right of the screen
  3. Enter your @iu.edu email address
  4. Click “Next”
  5. Choose SSO sign in
  6. Authenticate through IU Login
  7. Enter required information
  8. Optional questions may follow regarding your additional preferences. Users may move past this section by selecting skip.

AI Research Tool

The Libraries' subscription includes access to the Ask FT AI research tool.

One Mail information:

Financial Times support will be reaching out to IU Bloomington students and employees who used their indiana.edu email account to setup their initial Financial Times account and will work with them directly to transition their account to use iu.edu. This will will be completed by March 14, 2025.
