In college classes you will often need sources to:

  • write a paper
  • make and support an argument
  • demonstrate understanding of a topic and different perspectives on the topic
  • relate your ideas to others'
  • put an argument in context

Librarians can help you thoughout your research process as you:

  • identify and narrow a search topic
  • locate appropriate sources
  • evaluate sources for relevance and credibility
  • cite sources
