Remember the strategy we outlined for your research paper on black student athletes before 1968:
1) identify your athlete and google them to find out some basic information.
2) use a biographical resource to discover facts and details about your subject's life, career, etc.
3) access historical newspapers to gather information that will provide you with the contextual background necessary to understand your subject's surroundings, society, and influences during his/her lifetime.
4) remember to email sources to yourself to keep track of the information you've found and to cite your sources appropriately.
