Getting Involved With OER as a Grad Student

Design in Progress: Co-Creating Learning Theory OER with Students and AI
This video highlights a graduate-level instructional design course where students collaboratively authored an open textbook on learning theories. Using Wiggins and McTighe’s Backward Design framework, students selected theories, adapted OER, developed measurable objectives, created H5P interactives, and incorporated AI tools for visuals, case studies, and accessible content. Their final product, the Pressbook Design in Progress, served as both a learning resource and a demonstration of open pedagogy in action. CC attribution 4.0 International License.
