Curriculum and Schedule

The Curriculum

The schedule will include a keynote address, a workshop titled, "Introduction to Digital Scholarship," half-day workshops on a series of methods and tools, and discussions about pedagogy and consultations with faculty. Examples of the methods and tools are:

  • Digital Recovery: Archives & Exhibitions with Omeka
  • Multimodal Online Publishing with Scalar
  • Geospatial and Temporal Mapping
  • Information Visualization
  • Text Analysis: Concordances, Word Trends, etc., with HTRC Tools
  • Scholarly Editions: Text Encoding and Publishing with TEI

There may be opportunities to extend learning on one or more of the evenings if participants are interested in developing spontaneous groups for further study or play. Timely breaks to re-charge, and community-building receptions, will also be included in the experience.

Participants are expected to stay for the entirety of the institute.
