About Our Embroidery Machine

• We have a Brother SE600 Embroidery Machine with a 4x4" embroidery area.

Materials

• We have thread and tear-away stabilizer that you can use for your embroidery projects, but you'll need to bring in your own materials to embroider on.

Creating Designs

• You can create designs with multiple colors. The Brother SE600 can only embroider one color at a time so you will need to re-thread the machine each time you switch colors.
• Our machine comes with a handful of basic designs (letters, clip art, shapes).
• One of our makerspace computers is set up with Hatch Embroidery software. They also offer a free 30 day trial if you want to install it on your own computer.

Finding Designs

• If you want to bring in a design, we'll need a .dst file.
• You can find embroidery files for sale on Etsy.
• Embroiderydesigns.com allows you to download three free designs per week.
