About Our Printers

Reservations & Policies

  • Usage is limited to one reservation per week, with a maximum print time of 8 hours.
  • Our printers are free to use, as long as you follow our usage guidelines. If you need a larger/longer print, we will refer you to Luddy Protolab I or the Fine Arts Fabrication Lab.
  • We highly recommend that you make a reservation before visiting because our printers are running constantly!

Finding & Creating Designs

  • When you visit the Makerspace, a staff member will help you set up your file in the Prusa Slicer software. We will need a .stl or .obj file to get started.
  • If you're looking for something to print, the Thingiverse and Printables are popular websites that have free 3D models.
  • If you want to create your own designs, Tinkercad is a free, browser based program that is great for beginners.
