Aerial Photographs at Wells Library

With the closure of the Geography & Map Library in January 2010, aerial photographs have been transferred to the Indiana Geological Survey for their IHAPI (Indiana Historical Aerial Photo Index) project. The only aerial photos that are left in the IUB Libraries' map collection are those for Monroe County, Indiana (though the collection is not complete). They are in the Government Information, Maps, and Microforms department of the Wells Library. To view the aerial photographs, please ask a member of the staff.

You can download a spreadsheet of available photographs here: http://bl-libg-doghill.ads.iu.edu/gm-web/aerialphotosMC.xl

Indiana Historical Aerial Photograph Index

IHAPI is an interactive index that helps researchers identify aerial photographs that might be useful to them, but unfortunately it does not provide digital access to all of them. However, it does offer some insights on where to retrieve them from.
