Primary sources on women in IU collections

This is an artificially created collection that contains recordings and promotional materials for interviews and events created as part of the Indiana University Black Film Center/Archive's ongoing in-house research and outreach initiatives. Individuals featured include, but are not limited to, Maya Angelou, Camille Billops, Kathleen Collins, Julie Dash, Zeinabu irene Davis, Ruby Dee, Jessie Maple, Toni Morrison, Cauleen Smith, Madame Sul-te-Wan, and Yvonne Welbon.

Contains numerous interviews conducted by author, Steve Ryfle, as part of his book project “Desegregating Hollywood”. Individuals include, but are not limited to, Diahann Carroll, Wanda Coleman, Sheila Frazier, Pam Grier, Gloria Hendry, Louise Meriwether, S. Pearl Sharp, and Collette Wood.
