Copyrighted books that have been made temporarily available due to the disruptions caused by COVID-19:
- HathiTrustA digital library of over 9 million books, with 3 million in the public domain. NOTE: HathiTrust is offering temporary full-view access to affiliates of partner institutions for a large number of copyrighted works that would be otherwise inaccessible due to the disruptions caused by COVID-19. Filter for "full-view texts" in order to see books that are public domain and those that have been temporarily made available.
- Internet ArchiveProvides free public access to collections of digitized materials, including websites, music, moving images, and nearly three million public-domain books. NOTE: The Internet Archive has temporarily suspended limits on how many users can check out books at a time in order to make books more easily available.

HathiTrust Emergency Temporary Access Service
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, HathiTrust has activated its Emergency Temporary Access Service for participating libraries. IU students can now access digital copies of approximately 1.7 million books they would normally have access to in the IU Libraries physical collections.
To access these books in HathiTrust:
1. Log in to HathiTrust using your Indiana University credentials.
2. Select CATALOG search and Full view only.
