Please note: individual registration is required for access.  Users can join the IU Covidence account using their IU email from any IU campus.  For assistance with troubleshooting or problems associating an existing Covidence account with IU, users can reach out to rhinrich@iu.edu or directly to Covidence support at support@covidence.org. Covidence is a web-based software that was originally designed to make systematic reviews as easy as possible to conduct and synthesize.

One Mail instructions:

If you created your Covidence account using your @indiana.edu email address, you will need to update the address to your @iu.edu email address before December 31, 2025. Please use the following instructions to update your account:

  1. Log in to Covidence
  2. From the top-right user drop down select Profile
  3. In the Add email address field enter your iu.edu email address
  4. You will receive an email from support@covidence.org with the subject line “Please verify your email address”
    1. Follow instructions in email to verify your iu.edu email address
  5. Return to your profile in Covidence and select the Make Primary link next to your iu.edu email address
  6. Click the red trash bin icon next to your indiana.edu email address to remove it from your Covidence account
  7. Going forward, log in with your iu.edu email address.
