This one day Field Trip was held on August 3rd 2019, to observe the Salem Limestone (Mississippian) — A High-Energy Carbonate Shoal Model in Bloomington, Indiana. It was given to The ILLINOIS-INDIANA SECTION of AIPG as shown in the bottom half of the poster. The field trip was Led by Todd Thompson – Indiana State Geologist & Director of the Indiana Geological and Water Survey, and Brian Keith – Senior Scientist, Indiana Geological Survey (Retired).
